EU council outcome key for Greece's rating-S&P

The outcome of European Council talks and the shape of the European Stability Mechanism which succeeds the current bailout fund are key to Greece's credit rating, Standard and Poor's said on Tuesday.

"We will be watching what will come out of the EU Council meeting later this month," Moritz Kraemer, head of sovereign credit ratings for Europe at Standard & Poor's, told Reuters Insider Television.

"We have two main concerns. The first is the preferred creditor status of the ESM ... and second is the conditionality the ESM can impose to restructure debt."
