Ministry of Culture and Tourism: We expect one million tourists from Russia

The objective of the Ministry of Tourism is realistic, especially after the events in Egypt and Libya. From 2009 to 2010, arrivals from Russia had increased to 55%. 251,000 Russians visited Greece in 2009 while in the first 9 months of 2010, arrivals reached 415,000 according to official figures.
 
The Ministry of Culture and Tourism announced that the next three months will open three new Russian visa centers, the cities of Kazan, Samara and Krasnoyarsk to meet the increasing preference of Russian tourists to Greece.
