President of the Republic Karolos Papoulias received National Bank of Greece (NBG) chairman of the board Vassilis Rapanos on Thursday, who stressed that "the impossible must be done" in this difficult period.
Papoulias spoke of "difficult times", while Rapanos noted the difficult period of trial which the Greek economy and society are going through.
"We, at National Bank at least, believe that, in a difficult period, we must make the impossible possible and make the effort in order to help the country exit from the crisis," Rapanos added.
