Thessaloniki Documentary Festival Opens March 11th

Human rights, the Middle East and the environment are some of the subjects of the 13th Thessaloniki Documentary Festival, which will last from
March 11th until March 20th. About 225 documentaries will be presented , while there will also be other activities, such as meetings, masterclasses, speeches, conferences and exhibitions. A retrospective to Sergei Loznitsa and a spotlight to Helena Trestikova and Kyriaki Malama are spearheading this year’s Festival. On the occasion of the Special Olympics 2011, the 13th Festival will present a program dedicated to growth and mental disorders named “How I Am: Challenging Perceptions”. Thirty documentaries that deal with such subjects will be screened as part of the tribute.
