Looking for new sources of income

Crosschecking has started since morning in the Ministry of
Finance, since the Troika employees are here, and has started work in order to prepare the ground, so to speak, for the important guests - Mr. Deroose, Mr. Thomsen and Mr. Masuch.

In the following ten days the issues that will come up in discussions between Ministers and the EU representatives are:

-the hidden deficit of government departments in 2010. The Ministry of Finance is still struggling to collect lists and facts from government offices and organisations, which means that the actual figures of the deficit are questionable since the facts are not 100% accurate due to missing pieces of the puzzle. There are rumours that the government will try their best tricks in order to have good and surprising results for the guests from Frankfurt (Mr.Trichet, Mr.Rhen etc)

-The progress that has been made so far in insurance reform.

-the changes in the so-called "regulated professions" and the new law for them.

-changes in all companies of public interest that belong to the State and the new salaries in those companies.

-new measures until 2014 - which the government seems unable to avoid.
