A two-seat F-16D fighter jet landed safely at Araxos airport, southern Greece, earlier on Tuesday, using only its two back wheels after losing its cockpit wheel, the Air Force General Staff announced.
The pilot and co-pilot became aware of the problem during take-off and they successfully managed to bring the aircraft back to the airport where it made an emergency landing.
An investigation is underway to determine the causes that led to the incident.
