The General Confederation of Workers of Greece (GSEE), in an announcement on Tuesday, expresses its "strong and radical disagreement" with the possibility of dismissals of employees having contracts of an indefinite period in agencies of the public sector.
The Confederation says that at a time when "real unemployment exceeds 20 percent, the employees in the public sector must not be targeted for 'criminal'", as it terms them, "policies exercised in the past in the public sector" and announces dynamic reaction by unions.
