Panathinaikos midfielder Gilberto Silva scored a late goal to give his team a 1-0 home win over PAOK in the fifth round of the Greek league playoffs on Sunday.
The former Brazilian international hit the target in the 74th minute.
The victory, combined with AEK Athens' 1-0 loss at Volos, allowed Panathinaikos to reclaim first place in the four-team playoffs, one point ahead of PAOK and two in front of of AEK. Volos is four points back from Panathinaikos.
The playoffs conclude Wednesday, with AEK hosting Panathinaikos and Volos traveling to PAOK. The winner of the series will join league champion Olympiakos in the Champions League, while two other teams will play in the Europa League.
