It is of the greatest importance that Greece take the correct decisions, European Central Bank President Jean-Claude Trichet said on Tuesday.
Speaking at a press conference at the Dutch National Bank, Trichet, asked how he thought the Greek parliament would vote on additional adjustment measures, replied that on the Governing Council, "we consider of utmost importance that the Greek democracy would take the appropriate decisions and of its own responsibility redress and adjust the economy of the country, which is decisive in a medium- and long-term perspective for growth and job creation. So this adjustment program is very, very important."
