OKANA drug rehab programmes transferred to public hospitals

Health Minister Andreas Loverdos on Friday announced that the waiting lists at the OKANA drug rehabilitation centres will be eliminated by the end of October and individuals falling into this category will be included in state-run drug rehabilitation agency OKANA substitute drug programmes that will be undertaken by public hospitals.

Loverdos made the announcement in a meeting with OKANA representatives and public hospital managers held in the northern seaport of Thessaloniki.
