Aris, once the pride of Greek basketball, has fallen victim of the financial crisis, as on Sunday it had to travel to its game with Panathinaikos in Athens for a total of eight hours by coach.
"Never in my career that spans across 21 years as a coach in the A1 and two in the A2 as well as 16 years as a player have I had to travel from Thessaloniki to Athens for a match by coach," said Vangelis Alexandris, the coach of Aris.
