Oaed, Greece’s Manpower Employment Organisation, on Thursday said its programmes to combat unemployment created more than 100,000 job positions, of which 52,425 are constant jobs and 51,514 are seasonal jobs.
Oaed said a total of 17 programmes were currently underway, budgeted at 2.5 billion
euros, while a total of 111,873 applications have been submitted by enterprises seeking to be included in a social insurance contribution subsidy programme aimed at supporting 247,000 job positions.
Labour and Social Insurance Deputy minister Yiorgos Koutroumanis said Oaed’s programs have helped in halting a rapid growth rate of unemployment this year.
