6 of 10 Greeks say yes to building a border fence to tackle illegal immigration

The poll was conducted by Public Issue (Jan 12-13) and was published in Kathimerini (Sunday edition).

It shows that 6 out of 10 Greeks support the idea of the border fence.

55%  of those asked believe that the fence is a measure that would stop the stream of illegal immigrants to Greece.

51% of fence plans supporters are Governing Socialist Party PASOK voters.
 37% come from main opposition center-right Nea Dimokratia.
One out of four Left parties voters support the plan.
