New Taxi fares to and from Athens Airport as of Feb 1, 2011

Ministry of Transport has published special fares for the taxis to and from Athens airport to Athens downtown. From 5 a.m. to 12 midnight you will pay  € 35. In the fare are included VAT, starting fare. airport fee, baggage fees and Attiki highway tolls.
From midnight until  5 a.m. you will pay the so called “double fare”, that will be € 50.
The tariffs concern only Athens downtown which is
the area of the so called ‘small traffic ring’.
The area extends form Alexandras Avenue in the North, Frantzi-Syggrou in the South, Pireaus-Constantinoupoleos in the West and Michalakopoulou-Ymittou in the East.
The new fares start as of February 1, 2011.
