Olympiakos survive scare at AEK

Olympiakos came close to losing their perfect record in the A1 League on Saturday but a vital three-pointer from Vassilis Spanoulis led them to a 79-74 victory over AEK.New AEK coach Angelos Koronios seemed to have an immediate effect as it was the Yellows' most impressive performance of a disappointing season and they pushed the Reds all the way. Spanoulis's three-pointer
in the final minute was the decisive moment.
Play had been held for 20 minutes after AEK fans threw a flare onto the court during the match. Nobody was injured.
The win means that Olympiakos maintain their 100 percent domestic record for the season with 15 wins from as many games.
Panathinaikos remain one point behind the Reds after their 88-71 win over Ilisiakos. The Greens suffered a major scare during the game as they were 42-31 down at one point but eventually pulled through for the win.
Kolossos Rhodes scored a significant victory in the race for third place as they beat Maroussi, the side currently in that position,
78-61.
After that result, Maroussi are on 24 points, Kolossos have 23.
Kavala also have 23 points after their 66-58 victory over Peristeri.
