The issue of the ban on smoking was discussed during a meeting between Prime Minister George Papandreou and Health Minister Andreas Loverdos.
According to authoritative reports, Papandreou made it clear that there is no question of the law being reconsidered or readjusted. According to the same reports, the prime minister did not accept any other version, except that of the full implementation of the law ratified by Parliament, without any deviation.
The same issue, government sources said, was also discussed during the meeting Papandreou held with Justice Minister Haris Kastanidis, since one of the serious issues arising was the implementation of the "anti-smoking law."
