A short piece in the Daily Star Sunday edition suggested that the French striker, who is once again the top scorer at the Super League with 13 goals at the halfway point of the championship, would love to return to Anfield, saying
he did not have his chance the first time he got to wear the Liverpool jersey.
"At Liverpool I didn't have my chance, at Sunderland I had a good time but I fancy coming back to Liverpool," the report suggests.
Cisse, 29, recently stated he wanted to see his contract with Panathinaikos out. It ties him to the Greek champions until the summer of 2013.
