Greece striker Giorgos Samaras was the hero of the Old Firm derby scoring Celtic's both goals at Rangers on Sunday and stretching the Hoops' lead at the table to four points, although Rangers have two games in hand. Celtic won 2-0 in the second Glasgow derby of the season with Samaras scoring twice within eight minutes in the second half.
In only his second start since October,
Samaras opened the score at the 62nd minute going past Rangers goalkeeper Allan McGregor after a Joe Ledley long ball and slotting the ball home from a tight angle.
Then Samaras earned a penalty at the 69th after being brought down by Madjid Bougherra. The Greek took the kick himself and beat McGregor to take the game beyond Rangers.
This was Celtic's first win at Ibrox since December 2008.
