An Attica pharmacy was submitting to the Social Insurance Foundation (IKA) prescription accounts, registering in invoices and receiving with the relevant advance payments, amounts that were bigger than the corresponding value of the prescriptions implemented.
The scam was detected following a check carried out by the Foundation's Central Prescription Processing Unit and the Pharmaceutical Service.
The loss acsertained by the check so far amounts, according to the Foundation's assessments, to 660,000 euros but it is believed that it will exceed one million euros.
