The trading activity in the Athens Stock Exchange remained weak on Monday, with the London market closed due to a holiday.

Transactions are still on low levels and investing interest reaches a minimum, said Guardian Trust Securities in a report, adding that the Greek markets (stock and bond) seem to be removed from most of the investors’ planning.
Many shares are traded around their nominal value, without being considered an opportunity, according to Guardian. The publication of financial results of domestic listed companies this week would improve the news flow (Titan on 5/5, S&B, Emporiki Bank and OTE on 6/5), which has been focusing monotonously recently on the developments regarding fiscal figures and debt managements, commented Pegasus Securities.
Across the board, the General Index ended at 1,429.12 points, with losses of 0.39%. Intraday losses reached 1.6%, despite early gains of 0.94%. Approximately 18.7 million units, worth €56.7m were traded on Monday, while a total amount of 74 shares declined, 65 rose and 142 remained unchanged.
