Greece's T Bank (AMBr.AT) said on Thursday its board will meet on Friday to decide on a possible merger with state lender Hellenic Postbank (GPSr.AT).
"The bank's board of directors will convene Friday, June 10 with the only issue on the agenda being a proposal to merge with Postal Savings bank," the lender said in a bourse filing.
Earlier on Thursday, Greece's bourse operator suspended trading in Postbank, also known as Postal Savings Bank, until it received more information about the possible merger.
