Taxi owners decide to continue strike, rally on Monday

Taxi owners on Sunday decided to continue their indefinite strike, currently in its fourth week, following a meeting of their federation.
"We will continue our moblisations until the problem is resolved, Attica Taxi Owners Federation (SATA) president Thymios Lymberopoulos announced after the meeting.

"We will continue with mobilisations, but we must avoid mistakes such as those in Piraeus where colleagues threw oil into the streets," Lymberopoulos said, and appealed for calm-headedness.

He accused transport minister Yiannis Ragoussis and the Federation of Greek Tourism Enterprises (SETE) of "dynamiting the climate".

Taxi owners will hold a really outside the transport ministry on central Messogion Avenue in Athens at 10:00 on Monday morning.
