Amnesty International Condemns Greek Plan for Turkish Barrier Fence

The Greek government plans to build a wall along its 206-km-long land border with Turkey to help keep out unwanted migrants based on the model of the U.S. border with Mexico.
” If the European Union supports this plan, is like violating the human rights.”, said  Mr. Grends, a member of the organisation to the German newspaper Frankfurter Rundschau. This new barrier
could easily become a symbol of EU antipathy towards its southern neighbour, he added. Mr. Grends insists that the EU should support the countries that deal with migration and proposes the German model, according to which the immigrants who ask for asylum are sent to defferent parts of the country. This would be helpful as the immigrants will be spread to all countries of the EU, said Mr. Grends.
