Greek exports up 8.3% in 2010

Greek exports grew 8.3 percent on average in 2010, while imports dropped 20.9 percent in the 12-month period from January to December 2010, the Hellenic Statistical Authority said on Wednesday. 
 
The statistics service report said the value of import-arrivals totaled 2.985 billion euros in December last year, from 3.431 billion euros in 2009, for a decline of 13 percent, while the value of imports in the 12-month period form January to December 2010 dropped 20.9 percent from 2009. 
 
The value of export-deliveries totaled 1.537 billion euros in December, up 21.6 percent from the same month in 2009, with the value of exports rising 8.3 percent in the January-December 2010 period, compared with the same period in the previous year.
