Defence Minister Panos Beglitis will pay an official visit to Israel on September 4-7, at the invitation of Israeli Defence Minister Ehud Barak.
According to a relevant announcement by the defence ministry, Beglitis will be received during his visit by Israeli President Shimon Peres and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, while he will be having a private meeting with Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman.
Talks with Barak will focus on bilateral relations in the sectors of military and defence cooperation and the two ministers will be signing a relevant operational memorandum.
Lastly, Beglitis will visit the Jerusalem Patriarchate where he will be received by Jerusalem Patriarch Theofilos III.
